Twiggy Frostbite come to my attention thanks to the very recent Adna posting, the two acts share the same Swedish label Despotz. The track I discover appears to be their first for four years and first as a quartet with the delay seemingly because of two of the fours involvement in another band I've featured here before, The Deer Tracks.
History lesson over, "Seashore" is the twinkling track that serves as my enchanting introduction, a thing of real beauty with a purposely restrained, softening melody drenching the listener in slow-building atmosphere. As fragile keys, bewitching harmonies and eerie strings combine, what begins as a haunting carousel ride finally boils over with a soaring horns and bombastic drums. However you see it, it's utterly compelling.
A new album is promised for early 2015 and their Facebook promises a new video on November 26th - you'll probably be hearing of the band on these pages again very soon.
