Lady Lamb The Beekeeper #2 - Billions of Eyes

Lady Lamb The Beekeeper was amongst my favourite discoveries of 2013, her official debut LP Ripley Pine introducing this super songwriter armed with an incredible range of songs that hit right at your gut, one minute stripped back electric guitar solo intimacy and then the next, complex full-band arrangements, both offering an expressive, rich and sophisticated listen.

"Billions of Eyes" is the first track to be heard from Lady Lamb's follow up album After (due March 3rd via Mom+Pop). The track hints at even bigger things to follow, a forthright and direct pop hit where jangle guitars and big, precise percussion propel Aly Spaltro’s versatile voice and wonderfully witty lyrics, there's bright instrumentation and infectious choruses amongst stories of her great grandmother's sister being deemed a saint and boarding trains in Amsterdam.  Yeah it's great.
