Palehound is one of those acts that I listened to for the first time a couple of weeks back and thought I should have known about them already, so much about the Boston trio immediately ticks my boxes, take my introductory track "Healthier Folk" for example, a 90's inspired fuzz-pop jam that combines a heavy dose of languid, slacker riffs, booming percussion and gorgeously lamenting vocals. There's also "Molly", a faster, sharper track full of raw grit and beauty. Crunching, tumbling rhythms that are unpredictable and hook you in colliding with sweet vocals. Yes, I'll sign up to that.
Both tracks are taken from Dry Food, Palehound's debut album due out on August 14th through Exploding in Sound Records
