Have I posted enough upbeat, joyous surf-pop here recently? No, the answer to that question is always no. The latest band to come to my attention are Brisbane quartet Major Leagues with their third track (if I tally up their Bandcamp tracks) "Endless Drain".
Bouncing straight off the bat the song combines irresistibly sweet vocal harmonies with sun-kissed, bright melodies. A combination of widescreen guitarscapes and hazy, summer day memories - what more can you ask for in August?
Well perhaps earlier track "Teen Mums", a beautiful, breezy track with chiming guitar hooks, precise beats and super saccharine vocals - a perfect fuzz-pop track from the outset guaranteed to leave you feeling ready to hit the great outdoors.
